How to Build an Electric Scooter Powered by an Angle Grinder

When you want to move faster than using your own legs you may prefer to use a vehicle. Romans and other ancient populations used horses and chariots. Then the carriage came, until nowadays when we can and love to use all sort of vehicles (even when we don’t really need them – Ed.).

So, now you can use cars, bikes, trains, aeroplanes: you just rent or buy it, or simply purchase a ticket and “the game is done“. But there is someone else that always like going beyond the habits and creates custom stuffs that can make your day.

Do you know scooters? Have you ever ridden a tricycle? And what about a tricycle scooter – lovely vehicle also kids like using at any age? What if it is electric and original?

According to the Oxford Dictionaries, a scooter is:
“1. A light two-wheeled open motor vehicle on which the driver sits over an enclosed engine with their legs together and their feet resting on a floorboard”.
or
“2. A child’s toy consisting of a footboard mounted on two wheels and a long steering handle, propelled by resting one foot on the footboard and pushing the other against the ground”.

While we can define a Tricycle as a human-powered (or gravity-powered) three-wheeled vehicle.

What happens when we want to mix things and add some help to the vehicle? We can obtain a 3 wheels scooter or even an electric/motorized scooter.

This guy decided to be more original and challenge himself and his limits by building a handmade motorized tricycle scootermoved through an angle grinder.
