Kaplamino is a creative and genius YouTuber who loves to make his audience stunned with his live experiments. This time he decided to reinvent the Domino effect using matches, rubbers, pieces of wood and candles…and fire.
Traditionally, Dominoes is a family of games played with rectangular “domino” tiles. Each of them has a line dividing its face into two square ends and represents the roll of two dice. The player who reaches the target score (100, 200, etc.), or the player who amasses the most points in a given number of rounds wins the game. You can read more about the basics here.
But Dominoes game must be distinguished from the ‘Domino Effect (or chain reaction)” – even though its name is related to the game.
A domino effect is the cumulative effect produced when one event sets off a chain of similar events. But the term is best known as a mechanical effect, and is used as an analogy to a falling row of dominoes.
In order to create the most stunning domino effects, Kaplamino used several materials in the past, such as marble and magnets. But this time he wanted to create a project with fire because it’s impressive and rare to see it in a chain reaction.
His idea was to light a match in the simplest way possible, so that anyone – you included – can reproduce it.
Thanks to his genius, the artist found a way to create energy to get enough friction and release a large quantity of energy in a small space. The result is a big chain reaction in one shot with all the tricks he found and it’s all shown in this video.
