Udaipur, India, October 7, 2015 – a poor dog crawled into a hole at a construction site. The reason? He went there to die: his face was entirely infested and destroyed by maggots – who were eating him alive – with his eyes apparently gone, and the look was so terrifying and heartbreaking.
So charity workers of the Animal Aid Unlimited decided to rescue the suffering animal and film the incident, hoping to save him from certain death.
His wound was one of the worst ever seen, the rescue team said. They even thought of euthanasia as the best decision, even tough with great sadness…but something made them change their mind: his spirit.
So they started to cure him:
- they killed the maggots,
- they comforted him,
- they cleaned him,
- they fed him,
- …and after five days his left eye appeared.
Three months later here’s how Kalu, his name, is today.
The video below will show you the full story: the horrifying look of the animal, his treatment and his full recovery. Fortunately another happy ending! This article started with struggles and pains but ended up with happiness. Thanks to Animal Aid Unlimited for their awesome precious work and God bless you all.
