Anyone on earth probably knows the legendary Lego, line of plastic construction toys manufactured by the Danish Lego Group company. They are around since 1949 and entertained generations of children (and adults). In 2011 they decided to move to the next level and lend on TV and theatre with a cartoon and a series of films. The last creation was released just last month and promises a lot of fun: “The Lego Ninjago Movie”.
In 2011 children were amazed by the Lego cartoon “Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu” where the ninja Kai, Jay, Cole, Zane, Lloyd and Nya have to save the world from great threats.
After three years, in 2014, Lego started its adventure into the movie industry. First there was “The Lego Movie“, a 3D computer-animated adventure comedy film. At the time, the wizard Vitruvius attempts to protect the “Kragle”, a super weapon, from the evil Lord Business. He fails to do so, but warns Lord Business of a prophecy where a person called the “Special” will find the Piece of Resistance capable of stopping the Kragle.
Other three years later, on February 2017, Lego brought to screen Batman and his buddy Robin, busy in saving Gotham City from The Joker. It was the time for the computer-animated spin-off “The Lego Batman Movie“.
The success must have been so huge that a third film was produced and just released last 22nd September 2017, in the United States: “The Lego Ninjago Movie“, directly inspired by the cartoon.
This is a 3D computer-animated action comedy martial arts film produced by Warner Animation Group. It’s based on the Lego Ninjago toy line and is an international co-production of the United States and Denmark. The characters live in NINJAGO City (and island). When the evil warlord Garmadon starts threatening the city, six secret teenager ninja warriors, led by Master Wu, are called to save it. Using their skills and vehicles, they fight villains and monsters, and will discover soon, the evil warlord is the father of one of them.
According to some users, “The movie is definitely funny, in multiple places, and the animation is fun to watch too (like the other Lego films). It’s also well cast, and I’m sure kids will still enjoy it too.”
So, all you need now is just to go to the cinema and enjoy it with your family and kids.
