Timo Boll is one of the fastest table tennis players in the world and was the German flag bearer at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. The KR AGILUS is the fastest robot designed by KUKA company.

In 2014, to celebrate the opening of the new production facility in Shanghai, KUKA chose Timo Boll as its new brand ambassador in China and presented this ultimate dramatic contest. Four minutes of speed and precision. 240 seconds of the most enchanting duel where the humanity is broken in two: pro and anti technology people.

Are you hoping robots will rule the world? Or are you afraid robots will substitute us all in everything? See for yourself who comes out on top on this video.

Well, this time the winner is…Timo Boll, the human (for the joy of the “Anti-Tech people”). This time “Kuka was not the best in table tennis, but probably is the best in robotics.” That’s how the company likes defining its creation…

…but this was yesterday, the year after the second round took place: “The Revenge” with music. Both gave their all on two large sets of musical glasses in an attempt to outdo one another in skill and speed. And after two years of duels, in 2016, things went quite different: they formed a perfect unit.

What do you think? Are you in favour or against robotics? In which terms do you think we should allow the use of robotics in our life? Will we lose the control of the situation like shown in the best sci-fi movies or will there be a “perfect harmony”?
